meet trevor and carrie
hi! we are the fuhrimans and we are so excited to share our journey of adopting our first little one! We wanted to tell you first about us as a couple and then a little bit about each of us individually!
we absolutely love this life that we have built! though the journey is not always easy we know that there is no one else we'd rather spend our lives with. we met june 2010 at my 22nd birthday party, though if you ask him he just knew it was some girls birthday (haha). we met again at church later on that year when i moved into the same church boundaries as him. we became friends and july 2011 we finally began dating. Trevor proposed february 2012 on top of seattle landmark gasworks park hill, which also happened to be where we had our first picnic and was my favorite running destination. we had planned on getting married fall of 2012 but trevor got a new job out of state and 2 of my brothers got notice of their army deployment. so we married 2 1/2 months later on may 5, 2012! and so we moved to a new city knowing only each other, which was amazing!
we have a full life! we are very active in our church. we belong to the church of jesus christ of latter day saints. i am a young womens leader (youth group of girls ages 12-18) and trevor is a ward clerk, so he looks after the congregations records. together we love to hike, bike, travel, explore, try new restaurants, going to baseball games and concerts. there is literally never a dull moment unless we are watching a movie (i always end up falling a sleep.) we can not wait to bring our future children on this fun adventure as well!
trevor
trevor is one of the most passionate people i have ever met! once he learns or hears about something that interests him he learns everything that he possibility can about it. he loves music, listening to music, going to music concerts and playing music. he has taught himself to play the drums, keyboard, piano, bass, guitar, clarinet, baritone saxophone and saxophone. he also loves the aviation world. he is a pilot and works as an aircraft dispatcher at empire airlines. he loves being outside and just relaxing in nature. trevor is so so funny, he can quote anything and is just so electric! there is probably not a moment that he doesnt make me laugh. trevor is a great provider to our family and works so hard so that he can do so. he is incredibly ambitious. trevor always makes time to take me on a weekly date. he absolutely loves his family more than anything and i know that he will become the best dad. i just can not wait to see him with our children.
carrie
carrie is a happy go lucky girl. the best way to describe her is a smiling, high fiving, hard working and a loving person. She loves working in the eyecare industry and making sure that every patient who visits her office has a smile on their face. when she is not working she is running, going to fitness classes, decorating or just walking around target. carrie just cant get enough of her cardio and yoga workouts. she also loves volunteering with the youth program at church, especially teenage girls. she does an amazing job at organizing and planning activities to make sure the girls have unforgettable experiences. carrie also enjoys being with friends, family and loved ones. being around people you care about is very important to carrie. she makes sure that all these loved ones needs are being taken care and does a great job watching out for there best interests. she will be the best mom and i believe we will have the luckiest kids ever!
